About this work

Cast-iron stove plate, divided into two zones. In the upper zone a history in six scenes, separated from each other by columns and in two zones. In the panels on the lower left and upper right two standing figures are depicted each time. The central scene at the top shows a man on a spacious seat with two men beside him. The whole is topped with domes of a palace. In the lower zone, amidst scrollwork, two medallions with busts are visible: on the left a man and on the right a woman, looking at each other. Between the two zones a text band is attached.
