Textile fragment with tabula

Natural-coloured linen fabric fragment with an attached tabula of dark blue wool with a diamond motif in geometric arrangement applied in floating thread technique. In the center a small rectangle with a recurring meander motif. Around the whole a double border within which a continuous meander motif and a border with palmate leafwork. The floating thread is mainly natural-coloured, here and there light blue and pink in the central rectangle. The ground weave has a finished fringe edge of 1 cm at the bottom and after 3 cm of fabric follows an unwoven strip of 3 cm.
