About this work
Filling piece of natural-coloured bobbin lace, possibly Flemish guipure. Symmetrical pattern with volutes from which three-, four- and five-petalled flowers spring. Around the motifs a braided bar ground with picots. Within the motifs a honeycomb ground. Finishing on all sides with triangles built up from arches.
