About this work
Strip of natural-colored cutwork embroidery. Symmetrical pattern of three squares between two rectangles. The squares are built up from nine small squares. The rectangles are built up from six by three small squares. In the squares a diamond grid and densely worked triangles. In the center of the rectangles a cross with on each side a double four-pointed star. Around the pattern a narrow border of drawn thread work and finished linen weave. Along two short and one long side the strip is finished with a fringe of braided and festooned threads with picots.
