About this work

Pompon of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. On eight sectors with an empty mesh ground stand pointed oval fields, flanked by narrow pointed ovals. The outlines consist partly of ivy tendrils, partly of straight-line work; the fillings consist of a bouquet of flowers. Heart-shaped medallions and a border of oak leaves form broad shells; a rose set in two leaves forms small shells.
