About this work

Cap slip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Mechelen lace. Rivière bordered by two leaf and flower stems, while a bunch of grapes stands on the intervening fields. The shells are flat and display medallions filled with lattice work. By mistake this Mechelen cap slip was attached to a Brussels cap slip (BK-BR-J-175-A), while the matching second Brussels cap slip (BK-BR-J-177) remained separate.
