About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Valenciennes lace. Repetitive motif of a flower, made with a four-part dot. Diagonally above the flower stands a single dot. Shallow shell border with ornamental bands. The top side is finished with a straight border. Originally this strip was one of the parts of a strip, which consisted of nine separate parts. However, six of these separate parts have been sewn together: BK-BR-J-274-A, -C, -D, -E, -F, -G. In 1966 a wide strip with a different pattern was then added to the upper edge of the resulting long strip: BK-BR-J-267.
