About this work

Strip of black bobbin lace, Cluny lace. Symmetrical design with deep scallops and a braid ground. Each scallop is filled with an eight-pointed star enclosed at the bottom by a lying half-moon. The scallop edge is finished with arches and fine points of picoted braids. The top edge of the strip is straight finished.
