About this work

Strip of black bobbin lace, Cluny lace. Symmetrical design with deep shells and a braid ground. Each shell is filled with an eight-pointed star which is enclosed at the underside by a lying half-moon. The shell border is finished with arches and fine points of picoted braids. The top of the strip is finished straight.
