About this work

Two-thirds of the width filled with a scatter pattern of falling cornflowers on a coarse ground (of twisted spindles). One-third of the width forms a straight closed outer border (with a single Alençon ground), bordered by two pearl lists, and decorated with a horizontal vine of strung stems, each with three cornflowers, all facing the same direction. Alençon lace.
