About this work

Two-thirds of the width is filled with a scattered pattern of falling cornflowers on a coarse ground (of twisted bars). One-third of the width forms a straight closed outer border (with a single Alençon ground), bordered with two pearl borders, and decorated with a lying vine of strung stems, each with three cornflowers, which always stand in the same direction. Alençon lace.
