About this work

Mantle or carriage cloak of Princess Juliana, decorated with marguerites. On a smooth shoulder piece, over which a loose, wide collar falls, front and back panels are generously set. The sleeves are long and provided with smooth cuffs. The collar and hem are decorated with a double entre-deux and a strip of machine-made lace. The edges with two entre-deux are regularly interrupted by large round incrustations with a marguerite in a leaf wreath, made of batiste with open, English embroidery. Lining of plain batiste.
