Flounce of bobbin lace with rhomboid medallions

Flounce of natural-colored bobbin lace: Paris lace. The ground is divided into two: a Paris ground with clover leaves at the top and a tulle ground below. In the latter stands a symmetrical pattern of rhomboid openwork medallions with side scrolls crowned by a flower between two leaves. The leaves, the side scrolls and a series of small flowers and vines in the scalloped edge stand in three closed garlands loosely arranged above each other. The motifs are made in linen stitch and provided with contour threads. As a decorative ground a rose ground is applied. The upper side of the strip is finished with a separately bobbin-edged band.
