About this work

On a coarse lattice ground (a Mechelen ground or ice ground) is a symmetrical pattern of two turned, hanging vines, which, in pairs, stand above a low flowerpot at times, or again touch the right outer edge and enclose a lattice medallion there. On the inside are two types of halved cross-flowers. Both the vines and the cross-flowers surround some sections filled with lattice work. Mechelen lace.
