About this work
Jabot of ivory-colored silk trimmed with a natural-colored strip of machine-made lace: machine-made Mechlin lace. In the center of the jabot a row of seven glass buttons with above it a silk bow. Lace strip with a scattered pattern of rosette flowers on a fine machine-made tulle ground. Along the outer edge a double row with a linking of hooks and rosette flowers. The strip is finished straight at the top (inner side) and bottom (outer side), with very fine picots on the outer side.
