About this work

Strip of black bobbin lace: Chantilly lace. A lattice ground features an empty top and a descending symmetrical design that becomes heavier towards the bottom. Hollow and bulging double borders, gradually merging, follow the shells, which alternately consist of half rosettes and an arch of leaves.
