Wheel with Inscription AMOR OMNIA VINCIT 1676

The cast round mortar widens towards the top, has a high overhanging profiled rim at the bottom and a profiled foot, which is placed higher than the bottom of the object. On the rim in Latin capitals the inscription AMOR OMNIA VINCIT 1676 with interpuncts consisting of a six-petaled rose with six stamens (four times). The wall is decorated with two friezes, which are worn. The upper one consists of a partially repeated motif of a mask with a trophy (?) on either side and a cartouche, all surrounded by other ornament and connected by festoons and with a pearl border along the top and bottom. The lower frieze consists of an upper and lower part. The lower frieze consists of an owl between symmetrical scrolling work with stylized flowers, acanthus leaves and two birds with spread wings (twice), and with a pearl border along the bottom.
