About this work

Armchair of walnut. The furniture is caned and has serpentine legs, connected by an H-shaped frame. The armrests rest on serpentine armrest supports, are hollowed and end in a volute, decorated with acanthus leaves. The free-standing corner stiles are serpentine. The back frame and front apron feature openwork acanthus scrolls with a royal crown in the center in the upper rail and in the front apron. In the seat frame, a band of diamond latticework is engraved above and on the sides.
