About this work

Cabinet, so-called cushion cabinet, veneered with rosewood and ebony on an oak core. The stiles have half-columns, the capitals of which carry cherubs on the corners and a monster mask in the middle. The doors have thickened cushions, the backs of which are decorated with festoons. The headpiece has a frieze with acanthus scrolls and a cherub in the middle. The cornice has corner pieces with masks and cherubs and in the middle a lion mask, above which a cartouche with a cherub.
