About this work
Conical foot. Faceted stem, tapering upwards, transitioning into a curved bowl. On one side, a shield with the monogram DHDC and below it "Ter Uwer Verjaring" (For Your Jubilee). On the other side, the coat of arms of the de Castro family, three times three vertical balls; as a crest, a lion emerging. Below the medallion, the signature and date D.H. de Castro fec. 1853.
