About this work

Fragment of a stoneware jug on a high foot with an egg-shaped body and a tapering neck. Upper part of the neck and the handle are missing. The C-shaped handle was attached to the shoulder. A broad band with incised lines on the neck, some on the foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the belly three times a printed and applied medallion with the coat of arms of Amsterdam and the inscription '1644' in relief. Westerwald.
