About this work
Jug of stoneware on a high foot with an egg-shaped body and a tapering neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. A broad band with incised lines on the neck, some on the foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the belly twice a printed and applied medallion with the coat of arms of Amsterdam in relief. The third coat of arms with the inscription '1603' and crosswise letters on a shield '4[?] KW VT'. Westerwald.
