About this work

Fragment of a stoneware jug (schnelle) with a cylindrical, tapering body. The top and handle are missing. Profiles above the foot. On the body, in relief, three times a printed and applied elongated panel depicting the conversion of Paul. The left panel bears the inscription 'SAUL GAF IM DEN BRIEF', the middle one 'SAUL, SAUL, WAS [...]' and 'HER WAS WILSTV DAS ICH DVN SOL', and the right panel 'SOL WAS BLINT GESLAGEN'. Below each depiction is the mark 'P.K'. Siegburg.
