About this work
Jug of stoneware on a high foot with a globular body and a short, wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Partially covered with cobalt blue. The jug is decorated with a relief decoration in which the body is largely covered with printed, applied medallions with a flower rosette against a blue background. Blue lines on the neck and foot. Attached to the handle is a tin mount with a lid; on the inside a stamped mark with a crowned letter 'V'. Westerwald.
