About this work

Stoneware beer mug on a slightly spreading foot with a slightly egg-shaped body. The C-shaped handle is attached to a profile under the rim and on the belly. Covered with a brown engobe. On the belly in relief three printed and applied panels of rollerwork and putti, separated by caryatids. In the panels in a medallion a winged angel's head and a lady and gentleman in profile. On the foot, shoulder and rim a band with scrollwork and leaf motifs. Creussen.
