Tankard with Christian scenes

Beer mug of stoneware on a slightly spreading foot and with a slightly egg-shaped body. The C-shaped handle is attached to a profile under the rim and on the belly. Covered with a brown engobe. On the belly in relief seven Christian representations, including Christ on the Cross, Christ with the Lamb, Mary with Child, etc. Below and above this a profile with leaf scrolls. Attached to the handle a tin mount with lid; on the inside marked with 'H.O[?].S.'. Creussen.
