About this work
Stoneware jug on a high foot with a cylindrical body and a short, wide neck. Covered with a brown engobe. On the belly in relief a stamped and applied decoration of three portraits, one en face and two en profil, with a vase with leafy vines and bird heads in between. The lower part of the belly slopes obliquely and is divided into compartments. The rim is encased in a tin mount of later date with lid and handle. On the lid a medallion with a vase and the year '1714'. Raeren.
