Jug with coats of arms and masks in medallions

Stoneware jug on a high foot with a cylindrical body, rounded shoulder, and wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck, belly, and foot. Covered with a brown engobe. The cylindrical belly features a stamped and applied relief band with coats of arms in medallions separated by pillars with busts. The relief bears the mark 'I.E.'. The lower part of the belly slopes obliquely to the foot and, like the shoulder, is divided into incised compartments. On the neck, a relief band with masks in medallions separated by scrollwork and stylized leaves. Attached to the handle is a tin mount with lid and finial. Raeren.
