About this work
Chair of elm wood, with front legs and crest of walnut, back and seat frame veneered with burr walnut. The diagonally placed S-shaped front legs are decorated with rocaille motifs. The H-shaped stretcher is carved. The carved seat frame has a loose green velvet cushion with a pattern of leaves and flowers. The horizontally hollowed back has a symmetrically cut central rail, corner posts in the form of S-scrolls, and a top rail decorated with rocaille motifs and bird heads.
