About this work
Jug (bearded man jug) of stoneware on a base with a globular body and a narrow neck. The twisted, C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck. Covered with a brown engobe and cobalt blue. On the belly, three times a printed and applied medallion with two different crowned coats of arms surrounded by leafy vines. The two outer coats of arms are identical and show the date '1609'. On the neck, continuing onto the shoulder, a bearded man. Frechen.
