About this work
Jug (bearded man jug) of stoneware on a foot with a globular body and narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck. Covered with a brown engobe. Three times a printed and applied medallion with the crowned coat of arms of Amsterdam, flanked by lions. On the coat of arms the date '1660', the inscription 'IA' and 'STAW' in mirror image. On the neck, running onto the shoulder, a bearded man. Frechen.
