Jug 'Bartmann jug' with satyrs, portrait and flower sprays

Jug (bearded man jug) of stoneware on a high foot with a globular body and narrow neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck and foot. Covered with a brown engobe. On the neck in relief a printed and applied bearded man, the beard continuing on the belly. On both sides of the bearded man a medallion with a three-headed satyr and the date '1570'. On the neck a band with a portrait and profile surrounded by flower branches. Raeren.
