About this work

Spool box, made of cedar and entirely covered with marquetry of olive and walnut wood in a star pattern on the lid; rectangular box on four bulbous feet with a drawer at the bottom (sliding out from a narrow side) to which remnants of pink ribbon are attached; top surface, a lid hinged with copper hinges, underneath an interior divided into twelve compartments for various colors of thread. Four square-folded paper threads of silk are stored here.
