About this work
Rectangular mirror in a finely profiled tortoiseshell frame, consisting of a solid frame of black-stained oak, upon which a four-part profiled tortoiseshell frame is mounted on (probably) light yellow colored paper. In the frame the original, heavily corroded mirror glass without a facet edge, closed at the back by a walnut panel. The mirror hangs on an original copper (double right-angled bent) eye, fixed with three nails to the wood.
