About this work

Nearly square lead plaque. The two figures stand facing each other, the Baptist seen frontally, the Evangelist three-quarter to the left. On his left arm he carries the Lamb with a victory banner on a book, his right hand raised in a gesture of speech. The Evangelist, seen from the side, holds his attribute, the chalice with a snake, in his left hand; with his right he makes the blessing gesture. To the left a tree trunk with some foliage. In the background a mountain landscape with trees and buildings.
