Bucket-shaped cooling vessel on three feet

The object, composed of many parts, consists of a tub placed on three (!) feet with two handles. The cast feet are in the form of a lion's head on a clawed foot, the cast handles are both executed as two snakes entwining each other, whose heads rest on the rim of the tub. The tub is composed of twenty staves. They are held together by three pairs of bands, the ends of which are developed with copper wire. The ends are placed such that those of the lower and upper pairs of bands are exactly at the level of the foot under the middle of the tub wall between the two handles, and the end of the middle pair of bands is in the middle of the other half of the wall. On the outside of the tub, vertical strips have been attached at the stave joints, insofar as it concerns the part between the lower and the middle pair of bands.
