About this work

Scythe sharpener pushing his cart. The man stands on an oval plate with a zigzag line engraved along the edge. Mounted on the cart is a whetstone, above which is a water vat with a tap. The image is marked: twice mt.= Wessel Janssen, twice a crowned O and an axe.
