Virgin and Child

On a plinth, transitioning into a hexagonal profiled base with arcades and niches, stands Mary with her left knee bent. She carries on her right arm the half-reclining Christ Child, dressed in a shirt, of whom she holds a foot in her left hand. The child places his left hand on Mary's bosom and holds a fruit in the other. Mary's hair emerges from under the veil, which is edged with a pleated strip. Her dress, pleated at the waist, features an embroidered round neckline. The mantle, draped to the left, is gathered under her right arm. The child's shirt with turned-up sleeves also has embroidered hems. The front of the base has four rosettes.
