Oval box of black leather painted in tempera. Containing a portrait of a woman in oil on copper and thirteen mica transparencies painted with various costumes. The disguises show, for example, a hood with berthe collar, as a princess with a pearl crown and ermine shoulder mantle, as a city lady with fur-trimmed cloak, headscarf and black hat, as a man with plumed hat, sash, moustache and sideburns, etc. The portrait possibly depicts a female member of the House of Orange-Nassau: Louise Henriette or Henriette Catharina, daughters of Frederik Hendrik and Amalia van Solms.
