About this work
A wrought iron cross (from a tower spire or roof ridge) with a square fork, around which two brackets are attached to the wood. The stem is smooth; the crosspiece is forged into a diamond shape containing a cloverleaf. The crossarms end in tulip-shaped flowers forged outwards to four sides, with some leaves missing. The spike is thin and round, forged as a spindle for a weather vane. The weather vane is missing.
