About this work

Stadhouders chair of walnut, upholstered with red velvet, resting on S-shaped legs. The armrest supports and armrests are S-shaped. The upper rail of the high back has in the center the crowned coat of arms of the province of Groningen, placed on a rocaille shell. On the back is embroidered in relief the coat of arms of Orange-Nassau, surrounded by a floral wreath in silver thread. Accompanied by a loose cushion (inv. no. BK-NM-1138) and a footstool (inv. no. BK-NM-1139). From the Hof Provinciaal in Groningen.
