About this work

Fragment of silk velvet on a gold ground. Design: on a ground enriched with gold shot, wine-red pili-on-pile velvet rises, and in some places curled gold, a pattern consisting of a pomegranate, surrounded by large lobed leaves, encircled by a heavy leaf garland, alternating with two smaller leaves decorated in the same way. Note: compare with bk-nm-12364.
