About this work
In the flat of the dish, which has a central boss in the middle, stamped with a die-stamp: an umbo, surrounded by a border built up of blown bubbles and a leaf vine wound around a branch on a hatched background (repeated four times). Along the rim, a stamped ornament of cross-flowers is applied. The rim is wrapped around iron wire. The hanging ring at the back and the hole in the rim were added later. The central boss has become a small opening.
