About this work
In the flat of the bowl, where the center point is visible in the middle, stamped with die-forms: a depiction of St. George on horseback fighting the dragon and the princess on the left in the background, taken from the Legenda Aurea, and a rib wrapped in stylized leaf ornament. Between these, a stamped ornament of leaf motifs has been applied. The rim has stamped leaf ornament in the middle and stamped cross-flowers at the edge. The rim is wrapped around an iron wire. The hanging rings at the back and the hole in the rim were added later.
