About this work
Sugar bowl on a high, tapering foot, with two upright handles and a lid. Torsting on the shoulder, a band with geometric patterns, and on both sides an oval medallion surrounded by relief floral and ribbon work, containing a crowned W, and within the W the letters 'BONE' and the year 1894. The bell-shaped lid is crowned with an urn-shaped finial. This sugar bowl is part of a service that was looted in 1905 from the raja of Bone.
