About this work

Armchair, upholstered, of painted beechwood. The diagonally placed S-shaped legs merge into the seat frame. They support, as do the carved seat rails and armrest supports, pierced ornaments. The trapezoidal seat frame is curved at the front. The outward-sloping armrests end in volutes; the supports are placed backwards and merge S-shaped into the armrests. The back frame on supports, curved at the top and with a carved bottom, has straight S-shaped stiles.
