About this work

She stands on a plinth with the bent left leg forward and with bent arms; she holds the head slightly to the side. Her long garment with wide sleeves hangs down to above the left instep; the mantle, which is gathered under the left arm, falls over the knee. At the wrists an undergarment is visible. She wears a child cloth and veil, over which 'leather' bands with the five red discs (symbol of the five wounds of Christ) are laid. On her right shoulder two paws of a lost animal (dove?). In front of her in pointed shoes and insteps stands a tiara.
