About this work

Natural-colored fragment of a sleeve with two sewn-on decorative borders. The upper one has a decoration on a red ground of two horses facing each other with archers behind them, between which a medallion with a head with a nimbus. Above and below is a border of squares in red, orange, blue, and natural color, and a wavy motif with stylized leaves in dark green, orange, and dark blue. The lower fragment has a fine vine motif in natural, dark blue, light blue, green, and yellow. Triangular motifs with stylized leaves in green, dark blue, orange, and natural color are located centrally at the top and on the left and right bottom.
