About this work

Wall table of gilded oak. The corner-set legs rest on hooves and, like the X-shaped cross, consist of volutes decorated with acanthus leaves and bell-shaped garlands; at the intersection a hexagonal rosette. The table rails feature on a checkered background at the front a woman's head between acanthus leaves and flower sprigs, and on the side a palmette between acanthus leaves.
