About this work

Soup tureen with lid of hard-baked earthenware. The tureen stands on a foot and has high, C-shaped handles. The top of the handles is in the form of a (papyrus?) leaf lying against the tureen. From the leaf, a flower in relief runs on both sides of the tureen. The lid is domed and has a flat knob in the form of a flower. The tureen and lid are painted with black lines and a vine with flowers and fruit. The tureen is marked: Wedgwood.
